搭上從軍的列車嗎?

不知道怎麼回事 這年頭流行從軍嗎
台灣的兵役讓我的每一位男性朋友 家人叫苦連天
而在美國這一個徵兵制的國家裡 確讓身邊的朋友們陸續興起從軍的念頭
繼Eelmit 之後 那天跟一位許久沒聯絡一樣在美國念書的中山朋友聊天
雖然她還是要念醫學院 不過 她跟我說她之後想到軍隊行醫服務
意外的又發現 學校很多老師也都曾在 US Army, Air Force or US Navy 服務過不短的日子
這是一波流行嗎?
納悶的同時 我居然剛好接到了這封email..... 果然挺誘人的
不過 他們在信中少提了之後要服務多少年了 (陷阱耶)
最妙的是 我無意跟我父母親提到這問題 他們居然不反對耶 覺得是很不錯的機會
ㄟ........... 真怪
那我是不是也該搭上這般列車 以後當個批著戰袍在中東前線的愛國女牙醫咧?

結論是: 那不適合有適應環境困難 想要安定生活的我啦 哈哈 想太多了真的是.....
看不到自己隨軍旅漂流世界各地的日子......

不過 想到我未來要還的大批代款 真的會怕 這麼一來 這從軍還真的是個不錯的選擇說

Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship Program

Fully Paid Dental/Medical/Optometry Education Plus Monthly Income.
HPSP offers many financial benefits.
The Navy pays:
- Full tuition
- School required fees (except housing and meals)
- Reimbursement for the cost of required books and equipment
- A monthly stipend of at least $1,235 (subject to taxation and Social Security withholding)

How to Apply:
Students already in dental school should apply early for a 3, 2, or 1-year scholarship. Scholarships are awarded on a rolling basis. The last board for this year's application is February 16, 2005.
The application process takes about 2-3 weeks to complete.
Dental students wishing to apply should do so as soon as possible.

Upcoming scholarship boards:
19 January and 16 February; to apply applications must be completed two weeks prior to the board.The average dental student selected for a HPSP scholarship had a 3.4 GPA and a 19 on the DAT, however applicants have had lower GPAs and/or DAT scores. The selection board looks at the whole individual.
