Yeah!! it's Friday and I am so NUMB..

So, finally, it's my turn to get the anesthesia injection practice today.
It actually went pretty well, and it was really fun!
I was deciding if I should be numb first or deliver the injection first, but then, I let my partner to pick.. So, I ended up delivering the injection to her first. To be honest, I was really nervous before today, but then, when I got up there to the clinic this afternoon, somehow I got this confident... don't even know where that was from..haha...
Each of us delivered 6 injections to each other on the right hand side of the mouth; three on the upper arch ( buccal side) , one on the palate, and the other two on the lower arch. The worst one was the one given on the palate ( the roof of your mouth), since the soft tissue is so thin up there, that was painful...
In fact, after the third injection, my whole right side was pretty much gone. And...because my partner went a little too far on my front teeth one, so... yeah, my nose kinda got affected...
The very first time in my life.. haha, my lower right side of the nose was numb. That just felt so GREAT... hahaha
Not even talking about my lip, geez, I could feel two different sensation ( well, basically, left side with sensation and right side without sensation) when I drank water earlier tonight.

The good new was, since we were using short-acting anesthesia, I started to gain my right side face back after 7:00pm...
Overall, it was really a fun experience, it's totally not as bad as I thought... a big step in my life toward dentist!!
By the way, my hands didn't shake at all when I was giving injections!!! And my partner didn't complain much except I accidentally dropped a couple drops of the anesthesia into her thoat which wasn't too fun.. (opps!)
my next door guy was shaking so bad that he couldn't even hold the syringe still.. so the instructor needed to hold his hand tight at the same time so he can deliver the anesthesia to his partner....
